Key requirements:
To install a wind turbine, your chosen site should:
1. Be west facing
2. Have a wind speed of over 4.5m/s
3. Have no obstacles within 50m of the site and the westerly wind

Costs
From £12,500 subject to survey.
Grants available up to £2,500 - for more information click here.
If you sign up to the Good Energy Home Generation Scheme you could earn 15p for every unit you produce, even the units you use yourself.
