Heat Pump Products

The development of microgeneration is incredibly important to us. As such we want to make sure our customers have the very best for their individual situation. We have carried out in-depth research on the potential products for the Good Energy Shop and met the potential installers face-to-face.

For our Ground-sourced and Lake-sourced Heat Pump product we chose Greenstore pumps made by Worcester which is part of the worldwide Bosch group. For our Air-sourced Heat Pump product we chose the Ecodan made by Mistubishi. Both these solutions were recommended by our expert installers, Freesource.

Why Greenstore?

Greenstore pumps are made by Worcester which is part of the worldwide Bosch group. Bosch is committed to the protection of the environment and for over forty years Worcester have been leading manufacturers in high-efficiency gas-fired and oil-fired boilers. They now want to apply their expertise into a sustainable heating system.

Why Mistubishi?

At the Good Energy Shop we always like a product with good credentials. The Ecodan ASHPs are made by Mistubishi who are not only committed to responsible manufacturing with their Green Gateway Initiative, but have years of knowledge and experience. It's no wonder the Ecodan has an intelligent control system that sets it apart from the rest. Traditionally, heat pumps are seen as suitable for under floor heating due to the low grade of heat produced, but due to its clever control system, the Ecodan can be used with radiators. Special valves maintain the desired heat based on the room temperature so the boiler only uses the energy it requires. It can heat water up to 60 C and operate in temperatures as low as -15C. Not bad for energy that's generated from thin air!

The Ecodan was also the winner of the Environment and Energy product of the year award in 2008. High credentials with a low carbon status - what more could you want?
